Convert Task with Subtasks to List with Tasks

Sometimes I work on a task, start creating subtasks, to then discover I would prefer to converse the Task to a List and Subtasks to Tasks in that list.
In a way everything moves one level up.

Ivan Villa: you can do that on a task basis but not for many tasks at once. You should also allow convert to list from within list for many items at one time.

Yes, I'm finding that I need to convert some tasks, which are initial ideas for projects, into either folders or lists. To be able to do so would make ClickUp a lot more flexible.

Right now there is a "Convert to Subtasks" option and I'd like to see the ability to convert any object(Project, List, Task or Subtask) up or down with a click. I often create tasks only to realize it really should be a list. Or create a subtask that I later want to be its own task. To change this now requires a c/p and deletion.

My use case here are ideas & concepts my team records via tasks. Periodically we evaluate these and determine to “roll out” and realize the concepts. It would be great if we could trace the evolution of these ideas to real projects, which would be executed via Lists that would get built into task groups, given due dates, etc. ideally the resulting list would keep a loon back to the “idea” task. When you guys bring in automation, you could also auto close the task, but not delete it entirely. This way we could analyze ideas that made their way into real projects, how long the were ideas beforehand, and other key data for the team in our overall planning.
