Comments in subtasks visible in Activity Feed + Activity Stream
Eliza Witkowska
Because of many depth of tasks, it would be great if comments inside subtasks would also be visible in main task. Maybe with an opt-in/out toggle, similar how it's done in listings with option to see subtasks.
The goal is, to have ALL related comments visible within task preview.
Currently there is no way to see there are any comments inside subtask and it would be nice to see full activity for task including subtasks/checklists.

As Yvanna McCormack has suggested, clickup should add a stream/chat roll up similar how to wrike rolls up comments from subtasks to tasks to projects to folders to space stream. A overarching global chat feature shoud be implemented to achieve this. Particularly valuable for executive overviews.

+1 this is a must and saves duplication of comments! Currently, I'm copying the link to the assigned comment in the subtask and pasting it into the main task. It would be fantastic if all comments from subtasks could be seen in the main task's activity feed. This would save time and make tracking conversations much easier.

I want to ask for this again! This would really help with our workflow. Or at least create a button in the subtask comments so that the comment can be easily copied to the parent comment thread.

Agree! the opt in / out toggle or FILTER to include MAIN task feed or SUBTASKS INCLUDED would be so helpful, especially to track closing task comments

This is so badly needed! At a minimum it should be easy to copy a subtask comment to the parent task comment

Yes this would be very useful, as this poster suggests (same request):
It saves you having to update the Parent and the Subtask, because the Parent would just pick up any Subtask's update and automatically have the newest update, without having to go into comments and write it again. Very useful!
Another request for this here:

This would be very useful. You guys recently added the great ability to have Activity Stream at various levels, so this seems like just an extension of that.
Big +1!!

Eliza Witkowska: To get around this, I've had to develop some rules for me and my team to follow. In the parent task - majority of comments go here. The general activity of the task should be clear just by looking at the parent task comments.
sub-task comments are only used for those things that I don't need to show on the 'tasks activity line'. usually things that are highly specific to a particular sub-task.
for the time being, I'm hoping that this will work.
definitely do need the option that you've suggested.
Any plans Nick Krekow

Muazam Rafique: You raise a viable concern about the manual work here and how much overhead is needed to get this done.
I'd like to suggest to Nick Krekow and team as well thinking about this as a sort of Rollup function. Fibery has this capability, it's very useful I've tested it, where you can add as a "rollup" all mentions of sub work in the parent task. In practice, you basically get a stream of all activity in the children tasks. No reason this couldn't be implemented in ClickUp and I think it would save a ton of manual work.

I am unable to show my boss key activity logged in subtasks without drilling down, I need him to be able to see all activity from a given user in a given space/folder/list at once or else I will have to discontinue use of subtasks, which means I'll be less organized
Annie-Maree Jansz
Will Harris: Agree, less organised is the feeling!

Yes, please let us have an activity feed for all comments contained in a task and its associated subtasks. We waste so much time clicking on multiple subtasks trying to find where a comment/email went.
