Right now the only options are List and Status. Coloring by List is moot from my understanding because a List can only be one color and that would make every Task one color on the timeline. Coloring by Status is great but if you need to track tasks along a timeline by another common theme such as a Client or Company (which may operate as a tag), then Status will not work. We have many tasks that are different statuses but all related to the same client/company through the use of tags. We use Timeline View to see where tasks are falling for clients and we need an easily identifiable way (color) to view all tasks for a particular client. I've tried using the Calendar View but it does not accomplish what Timeline View does.
