ClickUp AI Task Creation Support
James Wooldridge
As a ClickUp user I want to be able to type the Description text for a Task and have the AI suggest an appropriate Title, and suggested List the Task should be created in.
With the rise of ChatGPT I’ve been testing this idea out and have discovered it’s actually quite good at predicting from the contents of my description (assuming I add a few choice keywords) which List most likely to be the one I want my task created in.
I was thinking of developing my own Task entry tool for this, but after attending LevelUp and hearing about ClickUp AI, I’m adding the suggestion here.

I've been surprised this was not a part of the AI rollout. The integrations with assistant apps never really got the job done and even the widgets are clunky and don't really facilitate good task entry.

And auto support to create good task hedlines and descriptions. Ask questions, if somthing is not clear. Or rephrase the sentance ...
A simple thing would be, change the order of the words for a good task titel.

Ivan Villa: Exactly. I'm often in program overview meetings were we're quickly reviewing the status of many projects. Any help quickly filing new tasks onto the correct board would be fantastic. I often resort to taking notes on paper and creating tasks later because the conversation moves too quickly to spend time clicking around to pick the correct List.
I can't wait to see what else we can do with these new AI tools.

James Wooldridge I guess after nearly 2 years, you might've figured this out, but when in the task creation modal you get from the 'T' hotkey, typing '/m' allows you to select the 'Move' command, which lets you start typing the name of a list if you know it. This can quickly become a pretty fluid motion if you have a handful of common lists.

Hey James! Thats not a bad idea. I could see this being useful in our task creation modal where you get instant access to write a description.
