One of the Click Tips that shows up in the Inbox and Notifications page says that you can "Search your entire workspace by pressing "Win + K."

Clicking the "Learn More" link suggests the correct hotkey of Ctrl K or Cmd K.

Incidentally, on Windows machines "Win + K" opens options for screen casting and sharing displays.
