Overtime the filesystem cache for the desktop app grows (over 10K+ files, GB storage in my case) and from my experiences slows done the application. https://help.clickup.com/hc/en-us/articles/9299106580503-Troubleshoot-the-desktop-app is a manual process to clean the cache and should be either cleaned periodically or an option within the UI to clear.
