Clear notifications for closed tasks

Hi. Not sure if this is a bug or feature request, but when viewing the Notifications tab, along with open tasks (or tasks with non-closed status), tasks with Closed status are listed too.
The Reminder Bell can be cleared manually, but I would expect this happened automatically when the task is closed and not having to do it manually. Thanks.

Yes, very annoying to have inbox task notifications remaining even once a task has been completed. Particularly confusing for recurring tasks.

I'd like the ability to remove all completed tasks from my notifications. At a certain point when you're tied to a lot of tasks, it would be nice to just skim through the notifications and then hit a button that automatically clears all completed/closed tasks rather than do it one at a time.

Andrew Diamond: I agree. Really this should happen when you go into the inbox. It should automatically clear notifications for tasks that have already been completed.

Need to clarify here.
- I would like notifications if a team member closes a task.
- I would NOT like notifications about an overdue task that was closed. Right now, if you received a notification that the task was overdue, and then closed the task, it is still in the notification feed until you clear it. Which is extremely redundant and cumbersome.

I too was confused by the current behavior. I would expect that manipulating a task (eg: closing or rescheduling) would automatically clear the related notifications eg: I had a closed task still showing as overdue in notifications. I am trying to make sure that the team does not have to contend with false positives which erode confidence in notifications. If this is a feature request, you can add my vote. Thanks

Alternatively, instead of using a style that indicates a task is overdue (RED!!!) use a style that recognizes the status... so you can still say that it was historically overdue at the time of the notification, but also show that it is not currently overdue by using a strikethrough, for example.

I have a number of overdue task notifications. When I complete the task OR I reschedule the task to a later date, the initial notification still remains on the notifications page, showing the initial due date. Is this expected behavior or a bug?
This should be a notification setting if I want to see notifications for completed tasks or not.

I do see how it is irritating to see tasks you have closed yourself. But I can also see that the fact a task has been closed (particularly by another team member) is a valid use of the notification screen and you can see confirmation this has happened.

Martin Gammon That makes sense, but it could be a separate section at the bottom for tasks that have been closed, and/or an option in the settings to show/hide.
