Choose columns to freeze/pin in List View

I would like the ability to freeze additional columns so that key information remains visible as I scroll through columns to the right. This is critical for lists with a high number of fields (the list I'm currently using is about 30-40 fields), as otherwise I am forced to continually scroll left and right to see the key data I need on a task/project.

It would be great to freeze 1 or more columns in a list view so that you can scroll across and confirm/compare things.
For example, I wanted to confirm that all our clients who are on package A have the correct value in column B. The package column is at the start of the column of the list (far left) and the Value column is at the end of the list (far right) with like 20 columns in between.
So it would be good if I could freeze the packages column, keep it on the left, and scroll right to get to the Value column.
