Tasks and subtasks can be the location for an automation trigger. Because we can assign people to different parts of a checklist within a task or subtask, it would be nice to have checklists as an additional location for the trigger.

In my specific use for reporting purposes (in list view), I would like the automation to recognize all assignees in the checklist and pull them into the assignee field for the task/subtask that holds the checklist.

I'm planning a recurring task (happening once a week) and each week I need to do the same four things related to this task.

I would love to have the ability to change status and add members to the task as checklist items are checked.

The trigger "Checklist item checked" does not currently exist in ClickUp; only the trigger "All checklists are resolved" is available.

I would like to change a task's status to "IN PROGRESS" as soon as an item in its checklist is checked.

This is a very simple automation, and I am a bit surprised and disappointed that it is not possible.
