Change Log for Edits on Personal Comment
Ng Yong Quan
Our business requires us to communicate between teams on budgets to spend,
if there is a wrong budget that was communicated, it will be hard for management to trace back to see who briefed this wrong budget which resulted in an overspend (especially so if there are dishonest people that will change their comments).
Plus, when you edit your own comments, there's no change log, so this is a huge loophole.

Clickup lacks the functionality to prevent a user from editing a comment that was already sent by them previously.

The problem will be solved if users are not allowed to edit their own comments, so all changes will be seen by management.

I am facing a major issue with comments tracking in ClickUp, and it is causing confusion in our workflow.
The problem is that when a comment is edited, the original creation date remains the only visible timestamp. For example, a user can write a comment in 2025, then edit the same comment in 2026 and add very important information. However, the comment still appears as if it was written in 2025, with no clear indication that it was edited later or when the edit happened.
We really need one of the following:
A visible “last edited” timestamp on comments, or
A clear edit history showing when and what was changed.
