There are things I would like to do in board view that are not necessarily tasks, such as work through decisions. It would be nice to have the ability to make cards or notes as well as tasks.
An example of this would be when you are making a decision and you want to list your upsides and downsides. You start with your task, titled "Decision about X." You then want to list the options for Decision X, and the pros and cons of each option, and move them through the board as you eliminate certain ones. But you don't want the pros and cons to show up in your Unscheduled/Overdue tasks when you switch back to calendar view.
You don't want to have to mark them off as complete (although the option to do so or not , and also to tag them, would be nice). But they essentially live somewhere as notes rather than tasks.
This would be a very helpful feature, as I've had to go over to Trello to do a decisions board.
Maybe a preference setting on tasks that allow it to be called a "card" or something similar. So it looks the same as the task on the board, for visual continuity, but functions differently.
