Subfolders
beta

It would be very convenient to have the ability to have subfolders. I use folders for classifying projects. For example, Projects would be a Folder name. 2019 Projects would be a Subfolder name.

(Updated March 4) Hey, everyone!
Beta access is once again rolling out! You will receive an email when your Workspace is granted access, and if you previously submitted the form, no need to submit again. We are targeting for everyone to receive beta access within the next ~3 weeks or so, pending any new beta feedback that comes in that we want to address. Cheers!

hi Caroline Ginty are you able to check the beta rollout timing for my workspace? We are working through a large restructure and this is a key piece of our new org since we were expecting it in Jan - can you advise when we might see it? THANK YOU!
Caroline Ginty
Amy Makiewicz You should get access by the end of this week!

Caroline Ginty Is it possible to get an update on where we sit on the roll out list? I signed up for the beta fall of last year and still don't have access. We have held on building out more needs in our workspace so that we don't need to do it over again once we have subfolders. I had told leadership we would get them in January based on the first announcement here and have had to continue to update them with new dates. If we could get a timeline on when we can expect it, that would be very much appreciated.

Megan Vercruysse Your Workspace should get access this week - thanks for checking in!

The nesting folder feature is in beta and we love it. Enhancement request: allow for nested folders to go between lists.
Caroline Ginty
Brandy Schneider: Glad you are loving Subfolders! Here is the existing feature request we are using to track this one: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/reorder-folderless-lists-not-able-to-place-it-above-folders

Hi Caroline Ginty Can subfolders access be allowed for my workspace? I'd like to try it please, and it's something our team really needs at this point.
Caroline Ginty
Tharsan Rajasingam: Just checked and it looks like your Workspace got access yesterday, so great timing!

Being able to add a folder inside of a folder

It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to create folders within folders, as well as store Docs directly inside folders. As our workspace continues to grow, organizing content at a deeper level becomes increasingly important. Nested folders and folder-level Docs would allow teams to better structure projects, reduce clutter, and make information easier to find, especially when managing multiple clients, initiatives, or long-term workflows. This added flexibility would significantly improve overall organization and scalability within ClickUp.

possibility of adding folder to folder
Mauro Lucas
I would like to have the possibility to include a folder in a folder and a doc in a folder for a better organization of a space.
