Adding Automation - able to see which subtask is due first and change the Custom date field accordingly.

In our organization, we have certain tasks which are worked simultaneously by different teams. Due to this, the parent task can have multiple assignees and below that different subtasks are assigned to each team. In this kind of scenario adding a 'Due Date' (on parent task) can be confusing. We do have a custom date field created, can someone please advise how can we build some kind of automation, that can assign that custom date field the same due date as a that of a subtask which is due first or for a subtask that is assigned to a specific team?

Use this flow to update the parent ticket if all the sub-tasks are marked as completed than the Epic/ Parent task status will automatically change to "complete"
The issue is if the sub-task is "in-progress" or any other status other than "completed", the Epic doesn't update its status automatically to "in-progress"

I'm surprised to learn this isn't a feature already. This would significantly streamline many workflows and keep tasks moving forward on larger scale implementations.

This can be done well through unlocking. And it would be very useful
For example.
There is a parent task and 1,2,3 subtasks
We add subtasks depending on the parent.
And when closing each subtask, we need automation to check some action.
For example.
Subtask 1 is closed - change the parent status
Subtask 2 is closed - change the parent dd status
Subtask 3 is closed - add a comment to the parent

Yes please! In my case I'm really wanting to be able to update a custom field in the parent task when a particular subtask's status changes. The hope is to have an easy view of how the parent tasks are progressing through their phases as the sub-tasks are resolved.

We definitely need this feature. In our case, we want to automate a custom dropdown field update (stage of project) when a sub task is closed, assigned or due date is added.
