Hey Zach - ClickUp, really loving the updates to automations. Could I ask that you bring back the purple color for email automations? It was really helpful to have them stand out in a list of Automations. This would be great.

We are officially up and running! Thank you for waiting, and we hope you find the audit logs useful.
We're considering new features, but we'd like to see how this version does while we gather your feedback. Expect to see a new feature that lets you name automation rules, which will show up in the automation audit logs, in about one to two weeks.

Would be cool, to be able to jump from editing one automation directly to the activity/audit log for that one automation. Right now, it's only possible vice versa.

With the new automations activity feed, I would love to automate a report of any failed automations to be sent to my email each day.
(Also left this comment on the canny post for automated reporting. Not sure which team would spearhead this.)
Perhaps this could be a development of the export feature (rather than reporting)? Have the ability to export at the end of each day & email to the designated user(s)?

Amazing! This is so helpful as we have over hundreds of automations across our space. If I can make two suggestions. Allow us to generate a PDF/Excel Export as a report for errors. We had a large number of failing and had to pass them to different departments. Second, is it possible to add a search feature?

I'm really liking the first glance at the automation activity page. I can see how this will be super helpful for our team. One thing I'm curious about, instead of the automation name column pulling how the automation is named internally, I would love to see the description we are able to give it on the manage page. Since I use this description for at-a-glance information on the details of the automation, I am also looking for that same information on the activity page, rather than "Automation X - Trigger". The current naming doesn't provide much for me.

## Accessing the New Feature:
- Navigate to the "Activity" tabwithin the automations experience in your Workspace to start exploring.
## Important Notes:
- The activity history will begin from the moment the feature is activated. You'll be able to view history from this point forward, with a retention of X days of data based on your plan type.
- Previous activity data, such as yesterday's or from five minutes ago, will not be available as we're tracking from the activation time onwards.
- Be advised that upon the official launch of this feature to all users, existing logs in the beta may be reset.

I'm only seeing activity from the same day on any given day that I look at the activity feed. Nothing from any time period prior (even a single day).

Naomi Peters The extent of history Automation activity logs is indeed tied to your current plan tier. Although it's typically a key feature locked down to enterprise we wanted to at least provide 1-day look back for all plans. We'll monitor feedback though as the feature gets rolled out to see if there's any changes we'd make in the future.

Zach - ClickUp First off, it would be helpful to consider tiers for the lookback period -- perhaps 1-day for unlimited, and then increasing durations for business & business plus.
It is extraordinarily frustrating to be part of the user base & beta testers group that contributes to ideas for & development of a new feature, only to be told that it will only be fully functional on the highest-level plan you have for companies with a minimum of 15 seats. I am a paying business user and proud of being a small business. My input in this & other features is not just to benefit the bigger businesses.
Which leads to my 2nd point... communication. This is similar to what happened with the development of conditional logic in forms. The ClickUp team really has to get better at communicating when a feature is specifically being developed as tied to a higher-tier plan. Managing expectations goes a huge distance towards avoiding frustration & anger.

Naomi Peters: Thanks for the candid feedback, we really appreciate it. I'll address both comments as best I can:
- During the feature's development we were originally going to have it be a feature locked in to the Business+ and Enterprise. Because of the feedback we received from other beta users, we decided to open it to everyone but with limitations on lower plans. We'll be monitoring usage, infrastructure costs and user feedback after we officially release and make adjustments to the look back period as needed.
- I agree that we need to be clear in our messaging which is why in my beta announcement above, I stated "You'll be able to view history from this point forward, with a retention of X days of data based on your plan type." Up until the point I posted that comment, the decision on plans was not finalized so that's why it was only brought up then.
I hope that provided some clarity Naomi and let me know if you need anything else. We truly appreciate the feedback and collaboration when building features and don't want to ever take it for granted 🙏
