THIS! Our team puts a lot of detail in our task descriptions. And we've had several instances where an assignee didn't see the "show more" prompt to expand the description, so they were missing critical information on the task and would then reach out to us asking for clarification because they didn't feel like they knew what we were asking.

Yes especially helpful when making a new task to have the description field open by default. It would reduce a common repetitive action you have to do every time you make new tasks. Highly annoying that its collapsed by default.

I believe Task description field should be considered a document view. In my case we create document inside the Task description window, sometimes even more than one, then pages inside to have project description in one document. Having Task description behave as if it was 'document' would make it easier.

Yes, I agree that it should have an option 'maximize' as it contains importan informations! Let's say at leas 'maximize' button, and optionally 'trun into document' - multipages document assigned to specific task.

Agreed - I'd love an option to expand task descriptions by default. I like to keep instructions or guides within the descriptions, and I've noticed that users may miss important information because they never noticed the "Show More" button.

Board views are awesome for making libraries of content like docs and videos that we can share publicly on our website. We embed a document or Youtube link in each task's description. Then you have a nice view of links to each topic and you can click to open the task and see the content.
With the new custom task types coming out in ClickUp 3.0, we'd like to be able to make a "content" type that is just a description box. No comments, activity, subtasks, checklists, etc (or at least minimized versions of those.
The description box should default to being expanded and be full width and height.

I see users new to ClickUp overlooking the longer task description. Add auto-expand option or a visible sleek scrollbar.

The SEE MORE button can interpreted as a sign to scroll down rather than something you should click.
