Auto-expand task descriptions
not on the roadmap
Brandi Berry-Cristofaro
It would be useful to have a way to toggle always on for expanded task descriptions, either on a per-task or per-user basis (or in-app vs browser vs mobile). Sometimes we may be using task descriptions to convey information that exceeds the default view and users may miss important information below the fold.

I have definitely missed project scopes because of this.

Allow task description box to always be expended

Everytime I go in a task, I always have to expend the description box. I rarely just go in a task and not expend the description to get the info I'm looking for

Can we choose to have task descriptions expanded by default? It's becoming a pet-hate amongst the team.

Bumping. This feels like an easy win to improve everyday use of the product.

This adds hundreds of extra clicks to my workflow every day, multiplied by all of our teams. Descriptions get underused and missed, considering how many other similar tools work.

At least make it an option to set this as the default at the user level.

Leslie Nevola This is what I am looking for, though I don't see the value in hiding descriptions automatically unless you are on mobile.

Please add a settings option to expand task descriptions by default.

THIS! Our team puts a lot of detail in our task descriptions. And we've had several instances where an assignee didn't see the "show more" prompt to expand the description, so they were missing critical information on the task and would then reach out to us asking for clarification because they didn't feel like they knew what we were asking.
