Always Show Parent Task Details in Nested Tasks
Victoria Lopez
When working on subtasks and sub-subtasks, it’s easy to lose sight of the parent task and its important details like goals, priorities, or key instructions.
I’d love a way to see the full task hierarchy (parent → subtask → sub-subtask) directly in the task view, such as a breadcrumb, expandable section, or hierarchy panel, so parent task info is always easy to reference without clicking away.
Why this helps:
Keeps context visible when working in deep task structures
Reduces extra navigation back to parent tasks
Prevents important top-level details from getting missed
Makes complex, multi-level projects easier to manage
This would make ClickUp even more intuitive for teams working with detailed workflows.
