ClickUp currently uses a circular checkbox (looks like a radio button) across Task Descriptions, Checklists/Action Items, Docs, and Comments. This conflicts with standard UI conventions (squares = multi-select options, circles = single-select). It's confusing, inconsistent, and harms accessibility.
Proposed behavior:
  • Provide square checkbox UI for - [ ] and checklist items
  • Or allow users to toggle between circle and square style
  • Maintain standard behavior: click toggles state, no forced strikethrough unless configured
Benefit:
Improved clarity, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with user expectations and Markdown standards.
