I use Click Up for Project Management project plans. I have hierarchal tasks - Project level at the top, then Milestones, then Tasks, then Subtasks, and at times items.

ClickUp cannot currently do a true “nested sort” where each hierarchy level sorts independently inside its parent container. Instead, I'm forced to manually move milestones and tasks around so that they "appear" in sorted date order. This is a huge waste of time and introduces the possibility of human error with the drag and drop.

So you can sort by Start Date, but ClickUp will not automatically do:

Sort Milestones by date

AND THEN

Sort Items within each Milestone by date

AND THEN

Sort Tasks within each Item by date

Please update the current FLAT sorting structure to allow for nesting sorting.
