Allow Multiple Closed Status Types (e.g. N/A, Cancelled, Duplicate)
Anggi Suwarno
Currently, ClickUp only supports limited closed status behavior, making it difficult to create multiple meaningful closed states such as:
Closed - Complete
Closed - Not Applicable (N/A)
Closed - Cancelled
Closed - Duplicate
At the moment, additional statuses are often treated as active/done states instead of true closed states.
This creates issues for:
workflow clarity
reporting accuracy
sprint management
filtering completed tasks
automation consistency
It would be very helpful if ClickUp allowed multiple custom statuses under the "Closed" category, while still treating them as fully closed tasks in reporting and workload calculations.
Example:
Open Statuses:
Todo
In Progress
Review
Closed Statuses:
Complete
Not Applicable
Cancelled
Duplicate
This would greatly improve workflow flexibility for development teams, agencies, and project management use cases.
