Allow list views/settings to be inherited
E
Ethan Sloan
Add a setting in the list/view options which allows the settings of a list to be copied and automatically updated from a list in another view.
e.g. A list view of a folder, which is inside a space, could be set to copy, or "inherit", any settings from the list view of the everything tab.

I can't see the documents I attached to the List information option, I can't view all the documents I attached as part of my project information, it would be good if they restored it, thank you

I’d like to request a simple but important feature: the ability to set “No Grouping” (group by None) as the default at every level of the hierarchy (Folder, List, etc.), and have this setting persist as I navigate up and down. Currently, when I set “Group by List” at the Folder level and then move to a List, grouping is automatically turned back on (usually by Status), and I have to manually set it to None every time. This is frustrating and interrupts my workflow.
Please allow users to set “No Grouping” as a persistent default, so that tasks are always shown ungrouped unless I choose otherwise. This would not require additional resources or impact existing features, but would greatly improve usability for those who prefer a flat, ungrouped view.

Yes, please make it so that you can have multiple folders/ lists inherit settings for what fields are shown. This would be soooo helpful! I am just starting and already created a lot of spaces and folders. As things develop, you get more acquainted with what fields you want. Now, I have to go back and redo everything I created.

I really need this feature for my spaces. I am not even sure how it is being ordered currently

We desperately need this! This was posted 6 years ago. It would be awesome to see some progress here.

I use quarterly sprint folders and it is infuriating that I cannot set the same columns as visible across all of the lists inside one folder. Even an option to do this (not having it auto-sync) would be fine!

Yes often my filtered views are the same across multiple spaces/folders/lists etc. It would be good to build a default filtered view that could simply be used on any list.
