Allow disabling of public sharing for Clips

Currently, the default behavior of the "Copy Link" button on a Clip generates a public link. This means that if you share a public link, anyone with the link can view the video. However, they lack access to the transcript and comments of the Clip.
There should be a way of disabling public sharing of Clips, as there is generally for sharing views, tasks, Docs, etc. via public links. Clients don't want their content shared easily outside of the organization.

I completely agree.
When sharing Clips with clients, I always have to explicitly advise them that anyone with the link can view it, even if it's not indexed by search engines. However, security-conscious clients are still very hesitant to use features with this level of exposure.
We really need granular access controls for Clips, similar to Google Drive or SharePoint:
- Fully Private: Accessible only to the creator or explicitly specified users.
- Workspace/Organization Only: Accessible to everyone or specific team members within the workspace.
- Secure External Sharing: Grant access to external users via email invite. For enhanced security, require email-based One-Time Passwords (OTP) to open the link (like SharePoint).
- Public Link: Fully public sharing (with an option for admins to disable this workspace-wide).
Having these levels of control would give us peace of mind when working with clients on confidential projects.

Agreed! Clips should have the same permissions-level as docs - i.e., private by default + individual sharing or public sharing. This would be more inline with how google workspace file permissions work & the rest of CU works with docs, lists, tasks, etc.
