Allow custom fields only on tasks and not the subtasks

I'd want an option to add custom fields to the task itself and not the subtasks within that particular task. Or at least have an option to hide the custom fields section when not needed.

Maybe can use Task Type? Add a subtask task type; when making a custom field on all for certain types BUT subtasks
