AI Meeting Notetaker

We like to use AI notetaker like Fathom to be integrated directly in Google Meets.
With the new Clip feature and AI transcription, this would make an even better solution if all the meetings are directly in Clickup.
Screen recording isn't a great solution as the AI doesn't recognize the different speakers.

It would be great if this AI tool didn't join the meeting as a bot - we confirm with clients that we can record, but having the bot actually join the call is a turnoff for many of them

Would love the ability to not have the Clickup notetaker not have to join the meeting. I currently use Otter as it allows me to record any meeting.

You can disable the AI Notetaker ClickApp or go to your calendar and stop the notetaker from joining each meeting.

Meeting notes, actions and automatic dynamic task card generation.
Muazam Rafique
I use ClickUp for meetings. I find it useful to create a task card for the meeting and meeting notes are made in the description box.
During the meeting, actions are identified and captured. Either within the description box or as subtasks/checklists.
This isn't ideal.
What I want is to be able to take notes in the meeting, and create actions within the notes themselves and assign these. But then, after the meeting I would like to be able to press a button and have the tasks identifed in the meeting get automatically converted into task cards or added as a subtask to an existing card.
Integrated: Then, by clicking on the meeting notes task entry I would be directed to the associated task card. Similarly, if I am in the tasks task card there should be a reference to the meeting where the original action was identified. Clicking this could take me to the meeting notes.
It would be great if this process was automatic.
Documents: Given that ClickUp 2.0 will have documents in it, I would envisage creating meeting notes using documents instead of a task card.
Dynamic: Also, closing the task in its own task card should update the meeting notes so that the meeting notes actions list would have the status of the action shown.
Preview: even more powerful if hovering over the link to the meeting, opened up a preview of the meeting notes without leaving the task card. This way I could quickly see what meeting was the cause of the card without having to leave the task card and open a document.
Cumulative:. If the task gets referred to in several meetings, then these references get captured in the task card. Eg. Task X was discussed in meeting A, then meeting B then meeting C.

AI Meeting Assistant

ClickUp can record with Clips, and summarize with ClickUp AI. I'd love to see those combine to create an AI Meeting assistant that summarizes meetings and action items (Like Fireflies, SuperNormal, AVOMA, Fellow). I don't care about keeping transcripts or recordings - just easy summaries attached to meeting tasks automatically.

Just signed up. This is a real game changer. Looking forward to testing it out!

Jack Dowd I'm unable to start using it. It is stuck with sales atm.
Reuben Helmuth
Jack Dowd, why are we forced outside of Clickup in order to use this? Most of our meetings are in-person, so Zoom etc are not involved. We want to still have Clickup record the in-person meetings.

Reuben Helmuth: Thank you for the feedback Reuben!
Can you add a vote/feedback to this feature request as well: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/ai-notetaker-record-in-person-meetings

Yes please! I want to add that having the video recording available as well within Clickup, in connection with the "clips" feature, would be a MASSIVE value add for turning meetings/presentations into courses, training sessions etc.

AI Notetaker For Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams Meetings
Garrett Ahlberg
Clickup is amazing for A-sync communication but occasionally live conversations are needed to move projects forward. Being able to add all of the notes from these live conversations right into a Clickup Task would truly help maximizing the effectiveness of the meeting since you wouldn't have to worry about taking notes.
First thing needed would be to seamlessly integrate Google Meet and Microsoft Teams into tasks like you've already done with Zoom.
With the video meeting platform of our choice (Google Meet, Zoom, or Teams) create a function with the AI where it automatically "joins" the meeting to record it and transcribe notes. After the meeting ends, a summary is embedded into the task with a link to the recording for additional context. If it's possible, the AI would create a check list of action items for both parties on the call and automatically assign them to each individual that attended the call.
Current competitors on this function include https://fireflies.ai/, https://otter.ai/, https://www.usebubbles.com/
I have used all of them and they are okay. However, the notes aren't as specific as I would like. I feel that Clickup could create a superior tool since the AI function could consider all of our internal data while transcribing the meeting thus increasing note specificity. Please consider adding this product into the suite. FYI, I would pay more per seat for a function like this.

We would greatly benefit from a feature like this! We would also be willing to pay more per seat for a function like this.
