Adding subtasks to existing tasks in "My work" instead of only creating new tasks

In the "my work" section, you can have a to-do list. I just discovered this feature and that would be so helpful to speed up my workflow.
However, I can only create new tasks there, I cannot add subtasks to existing tasks, which would be so much more useful. When I create a task in my lists, it's typically the overarching task, and as I go, I'm adding subtasks or mini-to-do's that I need to work on or quickly complete but need to track time for.
It would be so helpful to being able to say "add a subtask" then select the list + primary task it's linked to, and just start working from the "My work" > To do's space! Please consider 🙏🏻
