Adding email thread when emailing out of ClickUp
Dean Dinkov
If you reply to the customer via ClickUp, the email isn’t threaded or doesn't have the ability to add such, as you get in outlook or other email platforms. So the customer doesn’t see the threaded email and be able to read and understand the full conversation.
Without threaded email on the customer side, it does not provide a good email experience. Could you work over this because it’s important?

I've just realised, the workaround for Clickup is to prepend Re: when replying to a message and when the customer replies to the email, to look for the subject with Re: prepended to the subject, and this would solve the problem....! easy

So, in testing, if I prepend the subject with Re: that seems to keep my replies in the conversation of my clients inbox.....
Seems the solution is simple. If clickup dev can do the following:
1: When replying by email, prepend the subject with (there is a space after the colon) Re:
2: Copy the thread of messages into the message body
We can then write our replies above the copied thread in the message body, and we have a working solution.....
This would take just a few lines of code to do.
@Clickup - you have a working solution to this problem.

I wish this could be fixed, as it is a basic fundamental principle of consistent communication. Just a shame it was not set up to work from the beginning.

This is a big issue for my team, too! It's tough to send an email reply referring to something in the email below, and then there's no email included below...

Any updates on this??? It's very important for this feature...

I fully agree! The email feature sounds like a dream, but it unusable for me due to this issue.

I totally agree. It should work in this way that Google and other e-mail providers are able to merge the reply into the conversation.
Now, every single e-mail is arriving in a client's inbox as if it's a complete new conversation starting from nothing. There's no history beyond, it's not part of any e-mail conversation, the e-mail subject line may be different. E-mailing with ClickUp doesn't make sense at all, currently.
