We need to be able to create different closed statuses other than "Complete" for tasks and subtasks.

Add Multiple "Closed" Statuses

When creating statuses there is only the one option for a ticket to be marked as "Closed" where it goes away from view. There are multiple times when a ticket will be not be completed for various reasons but I can only add that as a status under the "Done" section which does not automatically hide those tickets from the view.
Would be great to be able to add multiple statuses under the "Closed" section so it automatically hides from view.

Allow more than one "closed" status

Dear ClickUp Team,
I'm reaching out to discuss task status configurations and suggest a revision.
Currently, you have three types of task statuses: "active," "done," and "closed," with "closed" allowing only one status.
In my projects, tasks can sometimes conclude with different final statuses. For example, a task may be "executed" or "ignored" (if the request is not relevant). Both statuses are considered final, meaning tasks in these statuses should be treated as closed.
However, in ClickUp, the only way to mark these tasks as closed is by moving them to the "closed" status. This results in losing the distinction between tasks that were "executed" and those that were "ignored."
To work around this, I create "executed" and "ignored" statuses under the "done" type and assign them accordingly. However, this means ClickUp does not recognize them as truly closed.
I believe allowing more than one "closed" status would be a valuable improvement. This would resolve the issue entirely, enabling me to keep "executed" and "ignored" under the "closed" type while preserving their distinctions.
Best regards,
Fabiano

Add the ability to add more statuses to the closet category.

I want to set up my space so that I can close tasks with the statuses “done” and ‘canceled’ and then compile a dashboard for these statuses to see the number of tasks per month. But I can't because there is only one status for the “closed” category, which closes the task. Please add more flexible status settings where I can configure them as I need.

100% needed since "done" doesn't function in the same way as closed.
I'd even be happy with being able to supply a resolution if it would be displayed next to the status name. Seems like it would be simpler though to just allow multiple closed statuses.

Any update on this?

Really looking forward to this, now we use automations and tags to set 'discarded' and other statusses, but it is sometimes confusing. 'Completed' suggests it is done, but that is not always the case.

The real reason for closing is lost - it is therefore no longer possible to understand what a big problem is.

This is a big problem for us. We close tasks for various reasons (closed, rejected, canceled, etc.) and thus lose track of the real reason for completion.

Our managers want to switch back to Jira because of this. Please don't let this happen.
