Add Gallery view (Board view with task cards in a grid)
planned
R
Ryan Carpenter
A Gallery view would make a useful addition to the Time, List, and Board views. In the Gallery view, tasks would appear on cards, just like the existing Board view, but without constraining cards to columns. Board view is good for workflows. Gallery view would be good for filtering and browsing.
The important thing to realize is that tasks don't always get done in order, and some don't require a workflow. A reading list is one example of a use case in which I might want to filter and browse tasks in a gallery view. Choosing the next blog topic for an editorial calendar is another.
The screenshot shows an example of the gallery view used in Airtable. This example happens to show recipes—another example of 'tasks' I might want to filter and browse.

If I am a click up user, but Notion has it and does it very well. If it could be implemented here it would be incredible

Agree with this ask.
It would be great if this would also be created as a card for dashboards. Also, it would be excellent if this could be stretched further and be able to show other 'groupings' rather than just tasks. I don't have a concrete vision of how this would be implemented, but for example, for some of our big projects users can be assigned as a study lead or a study supporter. They could be a study lead on one project and a study supporter on another. Both study lead and study supporter are people custom fields in our workspace. Thinking more of a card for a dashboard implementation, it would be amazing if the gallery view would be able to show the person's name and how many projects they are study lead for, how many they are a study supporter for, and a total number for both.

Quick update for everyone on this thread. Gallery view is Planned, and I'm working on a prototype right now. It's one of our longest-standing asks (going back to 2018) and we know that. No shippable date yet but it's actively in the views roadmap.
The most useful thing you can drop here right now is a single line on your top use case (e.g. "video thumbnail review for content team", "product catalog with covers", "client portfolio"). That kind of concrete input shifts internal priority more than a +1 does.
Thanks for the patience.
Daniel Bauer
Vasil EnchevWe'd love to see the possibility of designing storyboards. That would be images in landscape or portrait mode, in cards that are organizable. A printable output would be very helpful as well.
Mara
Vasil Enchev Same as Daniel Bauer. Storyboard.

Vasil Enchev Can you allow a link field or make it clickable so I can use it like a webpage to take me to different places in ClickUp or Outside of ClickUp so it can be used as links/visual catalog or process for navigating like a webpage.
Also allow them to be put into dashboards as well.

Vasil Enchev I can see this helping us with content management - particularly social media graphics
Amy Carvell
Vasil Enchev Recipes. Would love for this view to be available for docs too, so it's possible to 'browse' resources, notes etc. all in one place.

* photos I want to take in different locations
* recipes
* view tasks such as goals, projects, and such, where I just want to see a list of them with a photo, but don't want a kanban board view
* daily and weekly tasks that I use for journaling and key metrics

Stephen Ginn: love it, contacts and recipes are exactly the kind of browse-and-filter use cases we're building Gallery view for. Good news is it's on the Planned roadmap now. If there are particular fields you'd want on each card (cover photo, a few key details, links), let me know, that stuff really helps us shape the first version 🙌
Vasil Enchev
Les: really good shout. Making card fields clickable, so a Gallery card can jump you anywhere in ClickUp or out to an external link, is a strong use case, and the "cards as a visual catalog" idea keeps coming up. I've noted the clickable link field and the dashboard ask. Gallery's on Planned, and I'll push to get clickable fields into that scope so the cards do more than just sit there.
Vasil Enchev
Miguel: great use case, a proper design asset gallery (projects, fonts, files) is exactly what we want this to unlock. It's on the Planned roadmap, and I've noted your input as we shape the first version 🙌
Vasil Enchev
Sophie Stefanakis: love it, content and social media graphics is a common one we're hearing for Gallery view. It's Planned, and I've added your use case to what we're designing around.
Vasil Enchev
Amy Carvell: noted, and the Docs angle is a good one, browsing resources and notes visually in one place. Gallery view is Planned; I've logged the "extend it to Docs" request separately so it doesn't get lost.
Vasil Enchev
Daniel Bauer: storyboards is a great one, and the specifics really help, landscape/portrait cards, freely organizable, plus a printable output. That's a clear fit for Gallery view, which is on the Planned roadmap. I've logged the printable storyboard angle separately since that part is its own bit of work.

Vasil Enchev hopefully not too late to add my 2 cents:
Youtube video catalog - where video performance metrics can be seen below the image of the thumbnail...it's probably asking too much, but seeing two images per task/card would be helpful in this case where I have a screenshot of the viewer retention graph for that particular video. The ability to see both images at once would be awesome and much better than the table view I currently use.
Equipment catalog - all our video equipment seen by image.
People profiles - of teachers/collaborators etc
Website Products - The thumbnail and additional images of products for sale on our website.

Vasil Enchev as a product development team, we have been wanting something like a gallery view so we can see all products together on one screen! Currently with the boards, we have to scroll through all the tasks and can't see everything together visually. We're considering using whiteboards, but the task images don't carry over so we'd have to manually add them again.

Years have passed, and still, there’s no gallery. It’s time to change that. Where are you in 2026? Is anyone still interested in this happening? Let me know.
Amara Amzal
Vasil Enchev Definitely yes ! In order to turn a ClickUp space into a DAM.
Danny Trombley
Vasil Enchev yes. Lots of use cases.
Henrik Hjort
Vasil Enchev YES! There is so many application where this is revelant. Especially when you are using the list as a "database" and not a task list.
S
Shannon Frieling
Vasil Enchev Yes! So many use cases that I could implement TODAY.
Santi
Vasil Enchev yes, very helpful for visual heavy data, like ecommerce products, people, inventory, etc
Shawna Leigh
Vasil Enchev Yes definitely.
Miguel
Vasil Enchev Please Please Please! Its so important for visual projects!
Danielle Day
Vasil Enchev Yes PLEASE. This would immediately clean up a FEW of my spaces.

Could it also be possible to have left/right arrows on the cards, to quickly cycle through ALL attached media without leaving the board to open the individual card?
And will this work also for video and audio by chance? I am using one space as an audio database and being able to similarly play through audio snippets without opening cards one at a time would be phenomenal.
David Monahu
Vasil Enchev absolutely. Look at what you can do with smartsuite and their gallery/card view.
Siobhan Wheelan
Vasil Enchev yes! How exciting!
Les
Vasil Enchev Yes this would be fantastic.
Nils Kaltschmidt
Vasil Enchev Yes please!
Kristine
Vasil Enchev Absolutely, yes!! So many use cases! Would love to see these visual gallery cards in a calendar view as well.
Marylene
Vasil Enchev yessssss, I still use Notion along with Clickup only for the gallery view option. Being able to manage everything in Clickup would be FANTASTIC.

Edu Soler
Vasil Enchev Still interested! Please add this feature!
Ryan MacAlmon (HPE)
Vasil Enchev yes, please make this happen, this would help with visualizing a roster of clients or using ClickUp as a DAM.
Rick Nott
Vasil Enchev Definately iterested. Basically the Kanban board is great but fairly inflexible. For instance you can do a secondary grouping which is great but it does not dynamically size the second grouping rows so its a huge format (and I work a 49" 'monitor"). I have use cases for gallery even without images (more flexible/tighter grouping styling.
Adam Lundquist
Vasil EnchevYes! This would be a huge win
Kala Wangsness
Vasil Enchev Yes yes yes!!! Please please please! Any idea of the ETA on this? This is one of the biggest wishlist features, along with sync blocks and RFT in the mobile app for custom fields.
Vasil Enchev
Amara Amzal thanks for your feedback!
Vasil Enchev
Thank you all! I hear you - we are going to unclock new use cases for ClickUp!
Frank Burridge
Vasil Enchev Great! Architecture and Design here. We'd use it for room-by-room visualisations of scheduled material finishes. Also would be really useful to have a bigger thumbnail preview of an image in the Table view, to help builders quickly see which material is which when we export a schedule for them
Vasil Enchev
Frank Burridge: love this, room-by-room visuals of material finishes is a great fit for Gallery view, which is on the Planned roadmap. Your second point is a separate one but super practical: a bigger image thumbnail in Table view so builders can tell finishes apart at a glance. I've logged that on its own. If you can show me how you export your schedules today, it'd help us get the preview size right 👍

Flowing 3 Column Grid WITHIN Column in Kanban/Board View for Instagram Preview
A
Annabelle
It would be amazing if clickup added a flowing 3 column grid within "status" lists so we could preview instagram feed. This way we can drag and drop where it is to preview where it is on the IG grid, while keeping all comments/updates/subtasks/etc in the task itself!
I pray this is taken into consideration 🙏🏻 Mockups below including potential hover state.

Card view
John
I would like to have a customizable card view that can show different data for each task. I think Coda does this well. Many of us are using ClickUp for things like CRM, so having a card for each customer that has their logo displayed on the card from a custom field (either website or file field type) would make viewing that data more glanceable.

I think we should have a gallery view available for lists, specially for things/resources we can send to potential clients or just to be able to grow our email list. I know Notion has it and it looks amazing. I'll attach an image of how it looks like.

Updates?
Kala Wangsness
It would be great to have an update. It was on the 2025 roadmap for what looked like the first half of the year. Now we are getting closer to the first half of 2026 being over and we don't have it yet or an update.
Vasil Enchev
Yaser al-HirakiPlanned. Nothing shippable to share yet, but actively in views roadmap conversations.

As a reference, I’d like to highlight Capacities’ gallery view. It’s excellent and also offers a “wall” layout, where card height adjusts automatically based on the content.
A feature like this would be very helpful for quick content curation with a broad, visual overview of items.

Ygor LiraGood pointer. Variable card height is a real fork in the road for us. It solves the "all cards look the same" problem but makes grid density harder. Planned, and the Capacities reference is going on the moodboard.
