Hey all!
I've got a video question for you on how you'd expect this to work. Would you mind taking a look and giving me your feedback: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FwBYQoSVB0_ZNhXElPEY2bs9k-1f397l/view?usp=sharing
Thank you!

This would be incredibly helpful when we are trying to trigger formula automations to apply templates based on x trigger. For example, we have a use case where we have x amount of line items within a google sheet that need to be reviewed, when we put in the number of rows and divide that by 500, it would give us x amount of subtasks breaking the rows out in groups of 499. So if we could trigger a formula automation to say if a number is greater or less than or within a range, apply a template that has a list of x amount of sub tasks based on the number that would save us a a fair amount of time and manual labor.

Zach - ClickUp This is exactly how I was expecting the solution to work and we could get a lot of mileage out of this functionality.

Zach - ClickUp this is a great solution! Have been wanting to use this as a trigger in automations for a sometime and the proposed use cases in the video are fantastic!

The proposed starter version of formulas in actions is perfect. That is all we need for now. Please make it happen.

The proposed solution in your video would work perfectly for us!
Our use case: we would be using this to perform a calculation to find project completion % (Due date - Start Date), then trigger an email & other automations to notify stakeholders when a project reaches 50% and 75% completed

Does 'under review' mean it's reviewed as far as code changes have been implemented and next to be pushed into production OR it's been reviewed by the PMs to decide if they want to or not prioritize it?
What is the ETA on this, kindly can you tell us for example if this is the next month or a quarter or a year? Thanks!!
Based on the response, folks can at least make a decision to explore using 3rd party stuff like Zapier or make.com, but would certainly help to know this. Thanks!!
I also left a comment on another page (a closed out request of 'today' date, to my surprise): https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/shortcut-for-inserting-date)
I need both 'Today' field that is not static, but moves with the next day so that it's effectively 'today' whenever I look at the task, and the function field included into automation triggers as option, based on the scenario or rather the functionality I described there and which I need to build into at least a couple of my lists. Thanks!!

Now that Formula Fields are shipped I would really like to be able to define a Forumla to set data in custom field.
For example a Custom Field called YearWeek with value
IF(field("Due date")=false,"",CONCATENATE(YEAR(field("Due date")),"-",WEEKNUM(field("Due date"), 2)))
This should set the iso YearWeek in my Custom Field based on the Due Date and empty for those without a due date
At the moment because this formula is a String I can't group by it, this is annoying
