[From a Support Ticket] have the ability to use "Add Doc" as an action in an automation! Also be able to further customize that by including Doc templates.

Totally agree with what you've all said - I'm a new ClickUp user and honestly really surprised about the lack of functionality in this area. I'm needing to get a solution in place in the next 90 days and judging from the age of this thread it looks like I'm going to have to invent something here... :(

absolutely! this is massively lagging, docs need to be part of both triggers and event options

Would be hugely relevant. As right now we are urgently looking for a PM tool that can also function as a knowledge base. That it is not possible to automatically link a specific doc with client critical information to that exact client might be a deal breaker right now.
As we are also working on offshoring certain marketing campaigns, this is crucial.
We are looking forward to the Updates!

Use case: We have our Clickup docs as SOPs in a folder. When I add a new SOP, I manually have to add our SOP doc template. (This template provides with us consistency.)
In the CU automation, we can only select a trigger related to a task, subtask or both. It would be so handy to be able to select: When a new doc is added in folder 'SOPs', apply the SOP template.

We would love to automate sending docs from ClickUp to Hubspot company record notes (we capture onboarding notes in ClickUp via Doc under the folder. Would be nice to automate that in Hubspot to keep everyone aligned. Thx!

Would love to have this ability ! working with events i have a lot of docs which are informational briefs which need to be linked to the task
it would be very practical if i could set up in automations that when x label changes, the selected in app & pre-existing doc is linked to the task.
i'm surprised it was not an option yet !

I would love to see the doc automation allow me to take the data from a form entry and show all the text in a doc table. Currently custom fields from a form only goes to a list and there's no way to export that to a doc or anything else. The perfect automation would be to create a new doc with all custom fields shown in a table in the doc, saved at any location.
