Add @Date or Customize date in Docs

Notion has a great feature where you can insert a date into a page or even a page title. The use case I'm considering would be most helpful for a folder containing multiple Docs of Meeting Minutes. I'd like to be able to name each doc "Meeting Minutes @Today" and see that date update as time moves on. Additionally, I'd like to be able to customize, display, and sort Docs by the Date Created, rather than only the date updated.

Quick clarification:
If you set a title as "Meeting Minutes @Today" would you expect today's date to replace "@Today" and be static, or does that date stamp update over time? If it updates over time, what's the mechanism for determining if/when it should update?

Justin Hunter: Definitely dynamic over time.
Let's say I create a meeting agenda on Monday, March 13. I would title my agenda: Team Leads Meeting @Today and expect the date to dynamically change each day at midnight.
So moving throughout the week, it would read:
Monday: Team Leads Meeting @Today
Tuesday: Team Leads Meeting @Yesterday
Wednesday–Sunday: Team Leads Meeting @Last Monday
Monday, May 20–Rest of Time: Team Leads Meeting @March 13, 2023
Another suggestion is the ability to add Custom Fields to the top or header of any Doc, the same way you can add Custom Fields to a Task. Example custom fields might be:
Attendees: People
Meeting Date: Date & Time
Location: Text Field
Meeting Type: Dropdown (Stand Up, Weekly, Strategy, Planning, etc.)

Basically, I would like to be able to make click-up a one stop shop for my businesses needs and that begins with a word processing application that allows us to draft professional documents. Currently, we are limited to informal documents that look really cool and do awesome things.

This is something we've talked about internally. There's a gap between ClickUp Docs and word processors that we feel like we can fill while still keeping Docs performant and clean. So totally agree!

Justifying paragraphs is possible now, see the attached screenshot. What other types of basic formatting do you feel like are missing?

Agreed! We began with some basic font types, but more options here will be a big win.

Justin Hunter: Thank you for response. I look forward to the future implementation and upgrades to docs. Dynamic dates are something that the "online" version of MS word and google docs both lack (or you have to create a custom script). What I meant by dynamic date is as follows: Most professional documents need to be dated. An awesome thing about click up is that up we can create a template for everything. So imagine that once a new task is created - i.e. new client for my firm. The templated task sets everything up. Either within the templated task or (if necessary separately in docs) the new client docs necessary for each new client are autogenerated based upon a docs template. The dynamic date would be that the date on the generated docs document automatically updates based upon the actual date and then we could save the doc as a pdf once it is finalized to lock in the date for that specific document. Essentially, this takes out the step of having to insert a date for each templated document or update the date that is static. Hope that explains it.
