"Date done" should also appear inside the task/subtask itself and not just as a field in the list view.

I agree with Tiger - I see the "Date Done" field - but I don't think that I have the ability to edit it. This is useful for the folks who aren't in ClickUp every day and need to back-date a task.

I like this feature, but I can't seem to figure out how to edit the "Date Done" for tasks that were marked as "completed" on a different date than actually completed.

Luci N.: Happy to see date done field now (or Date Completed as I think of it), but I need this field to be editable because I'm not always updating Clickup on the same date or time that the task is completed and I like to run automations that repeat the task based on the date completed (not the date I marked it done).

Karina Schafer: 100% agree. This is critical as I am transitioning year's worth of tasks from another platform and would like to set up cards in the dashboard by the native done date-the same functionality does not seem to exist for a custom date field.
Though if there is something I am missing I would certainly love to know!

Luci N. how can you say this is complete when you can't edit the done date? What happens when a project manager takes a day off (believe me they are allowed them) and comes back in the next day and updated all the tasks that were completed the day before (while they were on holiday), all those tasks are now out of date!!! this is basics surely????!!!!!

This would be very helpful for us because we used 'Done' status fields to mark the point where the work should be considered done for internal cost accounting and planning purposes as opposed to 'Closed' which is the date when a client finally signs off the work (which can often by much later!)

I would also like to get this feature to be available in ClickUp. I am exporting data into PowerBI. The problem is that the date when a task was "done" is not exported.
Until the feature is available from ClickUp, I have found a WORKAROUND:
- Create a custom date field "Done date".
- Create an automation that sets the custom field to the trigger date, if the status of a task is set to done (or closed).
Of course this custom field only contains data for those tasks that are set to done AFTER the automation was created.

I calculate Time to Resolve using the formula "DAYS(field("Date closed"),field("Date created"))".
But I need to be able to calculate the same thing based on "Date done"
