It would be very helpful to add comments directly to individual cells in ClickUp, similar to cell comments or notes in Excel/Google Sheets.

Right now, if a user wants to add context about a specific value, such as a Status field or another column value, the only option is to leave a general task comment in the Activity section. That context can easily get buried in the full comment thread and become hard to find later.

Requested behavior:

Allow users to attach a comment or note to a specific cell / field value

Show a visual indicator on the cell when a comment exists

Let users open that comment directly from the cell

Ideally support this in both List view and Table view

Especially useful for Status fields and custom field columns

Why this matters:

Keeps context tied to the exact value it refers to

Makes reviews and handoffs easier

Reduces the need to search through long task comment threads

Helps teams explain why a status or field value was changed without losing that detail later

Example use case:

A team member changes a task’s Status and wants to explain why, but that explanation should stay attached to that specific status value instead of getting lost in the broader task Activity comments.
