Add ability to create angled/bent lines/connectors in whiteboards

Be able to draw lines that connect two shapes but is routed using orthogonal directions (either horizontal and/or vertical) making either straight 90º turns or curved/smoothed 90º turns.
This is essential for creating flowcharts, orgcharts, and many other types of graphs.

Better arrows in Whiteboard (Orthogonal)
Christian Eriksson
Hi ClickUp team,
I love the new Whiteboard, but the connector options only allow straight lines or smooth arcs. For longer connections, curves become huge loops that obscure content and waste space, reducing readability and forcing manual workarounds. In contrast, orthogonal (square-elbow) connectors are the most commonly used form in flowcharts because they clearly express logical relationships and avoid overlaps. Please reintroduce an optional orthogonal connector style so we can choose square elbows for cleaner, more manageable large diagrams. Thanks!

Option for Sharp 90-Degree Connectors in Whiteboards
Daniela Cuervo
Dear ClickUp Support,
When I'm creating diagrams in Whiteboards, the connector lines between elements are currently curved by default. I'd love to have the option to create sharp, right-angle (90-degree) lines instead; similar to traditional flowchart connectors. This would help keep diagrams more structured and visually aligned, especially for technical or process-oriented workflows.
Right now, the only workaround is to manually draw two separate lines and connect them to simulate a right angle. However, since lines can’t be grouped together, it becomes challenging to maintain alignment and consistency, especially when moving elements around.
Adding support for right-angle connectors and the ability to group multiple lines would significantly improve the diagramming experience.
Thanks for considering this improvement!

Zach - I got a notification that this feature was planned, and I also saw on the Clickup Roadmap (https://doc.clickup-stg.com/p/ad-3021/click-up-roadmap?_gl=1

Elbowed line connectors for whiteboards

Add elbowed line connectors in new Whiteboards tool. The curves get really clunky for many of the types of charts we build, which show hierarchies. Figma's Figjam connectors are much more functional because they support elbowed connectors.

Agree! I just spent more time than I should have trying to figure out how to do this before finally realizing it just isn't possible.
