Add a workspace-level setting that allows owners/admins to define the default due date time
Luciana M.
Summary: When setting a due date on a task without manually specifying a time, ClickUp defaults the due date time to 4:00 AM in the user's local timezone. This causes tasks to appear as "overdue" at the start of the business day on the actual due date, even though the work day hasn't ended.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create or open any task.
Click the due date field and select a date (e.g., today).
Do not manually adjust the time, accept the default.
Observe the task immediately shows as overdue after 4:00 AM on the due date.
Expected Behavior: Tasks should not be marked overdue until the end of the business day. Ideally, workspace owners/admins should be able to configure a default due date time at the workspace level (e.g., 6:00 PM PST) so all users inherit a sensible default.
Actual Behavior: The hardcoded 4:00 AM default means every task with a date-only due date shows overdue before work begins, creating false urgency and undermining trust in overdue indicators across the workspace.
Impact: Workspace-wide. Every user setting due dates without manually adjusting the time is affected. This makes overdue filters, notifications, and dashboard widgets unreliable.
Requested Resolution: Add a workspace-level setting that allows owners/admins to define the default due date time (e.g., end of business day at 6:00 PM PST).
