Ableton (the music software) has a great way to navigate (zoom and pan) around your song in the 'arrangement' view. When you click and drag in a navigation bar at the top of the arrangement view: sideways movement pans and vertical movement zooms. It feels very smooth being able to adjust view of the timeline in one action. I think this could be great for the Gantt View.
