Ability to organize my templates in Template Center or a Template Hub
Brayden Ankerstein
Would be great to be able to organize my templates into folders in the template centre and to be able to organize them by space

I both love and hate templates in clickup. What would help me love them more is if they had their own space to live and edit. It's cumbersome and error-prone to apply a template, make edits, then save updates, and delete template tasks.
I would LOVE to see a space I can click on where ALL templates live (similar to dashboards). My hope is that I could go to a template there to make edits, and it would automatically be applied the next time the template is employed. This would make it simpler to see what templates are available, what tasks and details are included in the templates, and edits would be a breeze!

Organize yes, but more important: Edit in the template center!

Being able to organize templates would be wonderful. Making them easier to edit is my #1 ask, however, without needing to find them again (hence the need for better reorganization).

Searching for a Template is a nightmare - you have to know what to type "template center" to even find it. I agree it would be great to be able to put templates into folders. Any more than 9 templates just makes the current solution clunky and frustrating.

yes! and to manage template access and use permissions in this type of view!

Working with templates is very good, but searching for a template is a horror. It takes too long, because every time all 1000+ templates are loaded. Can not you set up a folder in which only its own templates are. This is also possible with documents. In addition, it would be nice to see the content of a template before better, because with over 100 own templates you do not always know exactly which is only the right one.

Thanks for the feedback! We are evaluating ways to overhaul the Template Center

I eventually gave up on using templates all together for exactly this reason--I could never remember what was in my templates (even when I knew I was selecting the right one). Plus, it was such a pain to edit them that I could never keep them up to date. For list templates, I now just keep a list that I've named "XX List [Template]" and then I create a new list from the "template" by copying it. For task templates, I now use automations to apply whatever fields/criteria/info I would've put in a template.
