It is interesting this has been here since 2021 but this has only become a much more major issue (for me, anyways) in the past two months and only for me using links to other ClickUp tasks.
21 requests on this and an item that has been on ClickUp's radar since 2021 - this has been relegated to the junkyard. Too bad. For PowerUsers, you just made the workflow considerably less efficient (and the tool far less useful). My 5-star rating is going to have to change.

please please allow us to disable this. Lots of my tasks contain a bunch of links to investigated resources, github threads etc.
All the automatic embeds and popups are super annoying. I just want a plain and simple link to be inserted without any "magic" happening.

We need the option to disable this feature, it's very, very annoying! I have lists of links in clickup which I open in new tab so I hover on one link, preview appears, I have to drag the mouse around, wait for the preview to dissappear so I can click the next link below etc! >:(
It hinders my workflow very much and I need this feature to be off. I don't need previews, it's slow loading and in the way of viewing and interacting with texts and links. I have to dance around it because of a feature that should make my life easier and it does the exact opposite.

I find this to be more of a hindrance than a helper. I get more accidental clicks from this feature, and the preview typically doesn't give me enough information to make any kind of judgements. Having the ability to toggle it off would be great.

I mostly (possibly only) find the hover tools annoying while editing.
And if my post has a lot of links, there is a very high change the mouse cursor will hover over a link after I start editing.
Be good to toggle between it enabled:
- While editing and reading
- Only while reading
- Never
