Ability to customise LineUps
Xavier Wing Hing
The default view for LineUps is quite limited (presumably on purpose). But it would be great if you could customise what is shown. If you have the same tasks across multiple lists/folders, for example, it's just going to show the same thing three times.
What would be really helpful would be the ability to:
a) show task locations
b) change how many tasks are shown,
c) change what data is shown (similar to customising Rollups).
Also, it would be nice to be able to turn off Trending tasks to allow more room for LineUp tasks.

** I also would love to be able to see the parent task if i put subtasks in my lineup, like in the 'my work' card

I don't understand why none of this has been implemented after being suggested FOUR YEARS ago. I don't know the craft of making software, but making more fields of established data records visible can't be that hard and is clearly a popular request. Pretty please, move this up the priority?

Trying to embrace lineup... but its limiting.
I use the MIT method (1 Most Important Thing, 6 Very Important Things, and 9 Other important things). Being able to sort the lineup based on the custom column that I track these tags would be helpful...
More helpful would be to be able to add items to lineup based on these tags (hmmm... I'll look into automation
, just thought of that.
*)MOST helpful would be to have Lineup just be a custom filtered list on "EVERYTHING" of my choosing so I don't have to manually add it (and that filtered list is what gets pulled into fun things like the calendar auto-schedule).

Additional Thought(s)
• This feels like one more instance where Clickup is trying to get needlessly creative with something that pigeon-holes users into a specific way of doing something.
• If instead of building functionality off a thing that has limited functionality (Lineup, Personal List, Reminders) and instead letting the user decide which things to pull into those silos, things would be a lot simpler.

* Except doesn't look like you can add to lineup via automation...
**And, automations can't be applied at the Workspace level apparently :P https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/automations-manager-manage-everything-in-one-place

I've just started adopting the PARA method, and I would love to be able to sort the LineUp list in my Home view so that all of my projects can be sorted by due date or priority. Currently, I have to drag items up and down manually, and if there are more than three projects on the go, it's just not worth the effort.
So, ClickUp, please allow the LineUp to be sorted by:
– Due date (ascending/descending)
– Priority (ascending/descending)
– Manual override (dragging)
Thanks.

Given the limitations of Lineup, I have adopted an alternative approach that some may find helpful - I am tagging tasks and then creating Views filtered on that tag. This essentially replicates the intent of Lineup but with all the functionality associated with Views (and should be part of Lineup...)

Would also be nice to be able to break out items shown into different groups - similar to the way multiple Checklists can be shown and items dragged from one to another. One master list of Lineup items gets messy and takes away from its purpose to help focus.

Yes, particularly need to to be able to see locations / parent tasks of subtasks, as any tasks created from templates that have the same name arec completely indistinguishable, and it would also be great to be able to add more columns than the tiny selection currently available.

Others also have these requests, including:
Task locations:
(and similarly, parent tasks)
Being able to change what data is shown:
Seeing more tasks:

Need more than 25. Filtering by Priority, Location would also be helpful.

I agree! I would really like to be able to see task locations.
