A task status category between done and closed that would not trigger the overdue alert, or conversely a status between active and done that does trigger the overdue alert and then remove the overdue alert from the done status.

Projects can enter the "done" state and no longer be date sensitive prior to being officially closed. Based on the current 3 option task status system, there is no means to indicate this that will not trigger the overdue status unless the date is removed. But due date can remain an important piece of information. A status option adjustment to Done that allows a status not to trigger the overdue setting automatically or a fourth status option is recommended.
