Recurring Start/Due Date Templates
Rufus Manji
The current recurring task system is a bit clunky at the moment: all options have to be selected manually for each new task. It would save a lot of time to be able to set templates of pre-chosen options in the recurrence menu, and to set a default template.
Also, currently, it isn't possible to make tasks repeat with the same start/due date (just 1 week forward, etc), so I have to change these details manually on every recurrence of every task. OmniFocus is a good example of how to make recurring tasks seamless.

I think it is very important to have the possibility to set recurring rules in Bulk by using the toolbar. For example if we have many tax declaration / forms to fulfill for many companies, it would be helpful to select them all.

I may be saying the same thing, but the ability to create, save, edit, manage recurrence settings for templates, and retain the ability to situate that recurrent template within a hierarchy of templates. So a month recurrence schedule for a list could be situated within a folder template with a quarterly recurrence schedule and when the folder level quarterly recurrence automatically generates, the list level monthly recurrence automatically generates as well. So much time saved if this was possible.

If you decide to implement recurrence templates (please do!) please also make the assigned template an available field so that views can be sorted/grouped on it. So for example if you have templates for "every day" "every work day" "every week" "every other month" you can then view a list and see which tasks are in which recurrence pattern, and drag the tasks among them.

I particularly +1 the natural language use of selecting dates/times going forward (i.e. tomorrow, 1 week [from now], in 10 days, etc.) and having those be dynamic so that whenever the template, etc. is used (this concept applies to my desired behavior for favorites/saved searches/filters also) the date is calculated at that point.
