Automations | When something happens on a parent task (i.e. status closed), then do something on its subtasks

Examples:
- When status is closed on the parent task, also close the subtask
- When due date is set on the parent task, also set the due date on the subtask

When a subtask is created, it automatically adds the tag of the parent task. This would open up a lot of other automation possibility.

I would like an automation for closing subtasks when I changed the parent task's status.

Yes! this automation needs to be enabled. Would really be beneficial for repeatable task/services.

I would like a CUSTOM FIELD on a Parent task to trigger an action on a CUSTOM FIELD in the sub task.

I would like a CUSTOM FIELD on a Parent task to trigger an action on a CUSTOM FIELD in the sub task. (i.e. duplicate the custom field to the subtask so that I can see it in a list that shows only the subtasks

Yes! As an example, the ability to have everything (statuses, custom fields, etc.) be unique on a subtask is of course very useful, but it can also cause confusion for some when they want the Subtask to reflect much of the same core information/settings as the parent task. Would love to be able to tell a subtask to adopt some of the same information as the parent.

This would be a big improvement for our use of ClickUp. We need the Status of a Task to be able to drive automatic updates to SubTasks. Please add this to the roadmap!

Automation Option - Assign Template subtasks to Parent Task assignee

I would like to be able to use an automation to apply at template and then assign all the template subtasks to the parent task assignee. Right now I am managing this by having multiple automations and versions of my templates - one for each team member that might be assigned a task. This is cumbersome and each time I need to update a template, i have to repeat my work for each version.

Great Request! In combination with the possibility to use inheritence from the parent task, it would make a powerfull automation option!

When a Parent Task is closed, then open the dependant subtask and assign the subtask to the same user that the parent task.
When the subtask is closed then open the following dependant subtask assigning the same user.
When due date on a parent task is changed, move equally the Opening of the dependant subtask and its due date, and when a dependant subtask`s due date is moved, do the same with the following dependant subtask.
