Ability to add your own custom emoji, or a set of custom emoji from an emoji pack. Similar to Slack:

Emojis help loads with organization and communication in the different teams I work with. Some tasks and descriptions become easier to read with emojis and we often at times use emojis to give status updates. Allowing more expression in our work makes the work much easier!

Adding custom emoji support would revolutionize our team communication and culture! From sprint-specific reaction packs to company-branded celebrations, this feature would make task interactions more engaging and personally meaningful. Plus, who doesn't want to mark blockers with a custom 'everything is fine' dog in flames emoji? 🔥🐕 Let's make task management and written chats more expressive!

Absolutely agree with everyone here. Custom emojis are more than just fun icons, they’re how teams express culture, inside jokes, and connection. Moving without them feels like leaving behind a shared language. Slack set the bar; ClickUp bringing this in would be a huge vibe upgrade 🎉🐐🚀

This is our entire culture locked in Slack. It feels naked moving to clickup without them :(
How do I signal joy to my co-workers without a happy goat that's dancing now?
MISSION CRITICAL.

agreed! they're helpful for us to have locations indicated for our team. We'd like to move from slack to CU for chat too.

Hey folks from Clickup! Please do not underestimate this functionality.
Custom emojis are not just something for fun, they are an important part of the corporate culture for some companies.
We already decided to move our tasks to Clickup from other systems (Jira, and Notion Projects), but we still cannot decide to leave Slack yet and one of the reasons is custom emojis, as our team use them VERY actively now

It's the only thing we see that it lacks to make it “the perfect chat”.

In the Reddit ClickUp sub someone suggested using emojis to group custom fields in a meaningful way when viewing them in the dropdown of available fields. Having the ability to add custom emojis for this purpose would be ideal.

Yes please!

We're shifting work communications from Discord to ClickUp now that chat is far more robust and reliable. I am already desperately missing my custom emojis and we're not fully swapped over yet 😆
Marcos Benitez
Ny The same thing happens to us because we migrated from Google Chat to ClickUp.
