- Create a task entitled "xyz task"
- Press S to search and for "showing recent" select "all"
- You should see the "xyz task" newly created task near the top of your list.
- Now enter in the "Search..." field "xyz"
- Note that the task named "xyz task" is NOT found.
Also: If you place "xyz" in a checklist full text search won't find it there. Need clarification in documentation on exactly what content full text search will search. Also need to understand why "xyz" isn't located within the task name. It is found when placed in description.

Hi, I think the issue still exists and the results literally get drifted from the main search even when you write exact name of the task.
Generally, it is very easy to remember and find any particular task or projects (particular section of information inside the project) but the significance of search gains it's important when the whole workspace starts populating.
I use ClickUp to manage and assign tasks to my team. We do Quality Assurance of the reports mainly. So every now and then we are so dependent on search functionality. It has happened often when I want to see a particular file, and I am trying to search it by typing the "Tag" name, task name, or by typing any particular word from the "Notes" I may have written inside the task. But almost every time when I search the way I mentioned, I see the top results showing the recent tasks, reference to certain documents that are far from the search keywords (I know I can filter my search by narrowing the type to the task) but should the search should be focusing on first on the keywords?
If this issue could be solved then it would be a huge help to my team.
Thanks,
Daksh

Hey everyone!
Thanks for reaching out! Could you please clarify whether you're still experiencing any issues when using the search options tabs to make your search more granular (please see my screenshot)?
Please let me know!

@Brent Evans: Yes! I am experiencing this with search and with @mentioning tasks. It's showing tasks that shouldn't be shown and not showing tasks that should! I am also experiencing this with linking tasks.
In this example, I can see the task "Another Thing pt 2" in my recent tasks, but when I search by that exact name, it does not show up. I get the same results @@mentioning, using the global search, and narrowing by task name.
At the same time, I am getting tasks that totally should NOT be returning results (see second image).
I'm new to ClickUp, and this is really awful. Needs to be fixed.
Oh, also, I'm experiencing this using the Chrome Web App, not desktop....
