Need to access the documents created by the Ai Notetaker which contain the video/audio, summary, transcript, etc.

Currently, there are two major limitations in the ClickUp Docs API that affect integration and automation workflows: Linking a Doc to a Task (and vice versa) At the moment, there’s no way to associate a ClickUp Doc with a Task via the API. The Create Task Attachment endpoint only allows attaching external files — it does not support linking native ClickUp Docs. Also, while it's possible to create links between tasks, there's no similar functionality available for documents. Managing Doc permissions When creating a Doc via the Create Doc endpoint, there’s no way to manage detailed access settings. The only option is to set it as either "private" or "public", but if it's private, there's no way to specify which members or guests should have access. The Update privacy and access of an object or location endpoint — which supports updating permissions for most ClickUp objects (tasks, spaces, lists, etc.) — doesn't support documents, leading to a gap in access control. Suggestions: Add support for linking Docs to Tasks (in both directions). Expand the Docs API to include access management by user or group, similar to how it works for other objects. These improvements would make the API more robust and consistent with the capabilities available through the ClickUp UI.

i want to archive docs via api

We are currently utilising the Docs API in ClickUp to develop a convenience feature. However, we’ve encountered a limitation with the 'editPage' API—it allows content modifications but does not support changing the parentPage. We would like to request an enhancement to the 'editPage' API, enabling it to accept the parent_page_id parameter, similar to the 'createPage' API. This would allow for the modification of the parentPage, providing more flexibility in managing document structures.

The ability to link docs to tasks using the API to make recuring doc creation easier and faster.

It seems there's no endpoint that allows us to add attachments to a doc via API calls. Would be great if there's one so I can generated the doc and add images directly to the doc via API.

It is currently not possible to search a specific term in my docs using the searchDocs API endpoint. https://clickup.com/api/clickupreference/operation/searchDocs/

I want to create a Doc as an Task Attachement. Current Create Doc API endpoint does not allow to specify task as a parent.

At the moment we cannot filter documents by the date they were updated.
