Feature Requests

Currently portfolios operate on the list level. I would find it useful to add entire spaces or projects to my portfolios. I would also like sorting and grouping options by space or project.

It would be great if you can see that a list is in a Portfolio from the List info. Also, it would be great to add it to a Portfolio from the List info view.

As a program manager, I'd like a feature where I am able to view, review and create reports/dashboard from a portfolio prospective

We would find it very useful if the portfolio card could be exported so we can share it with external stakeholders and board members

It would be really useful when prepping for meetings like leadership meetings etc to be able to create a Portfolio for each and be able to make some high level notes as status updates so you can read though rather than have to do seperate meeting prep/notes. Might be something like "Delayed due to client hiring new marketing manager"; "On track, but risk that key stakeholder will change their mind" and so on. Would also be useful to have the ability to add Projects as well as Lists.

All my teams currently use the project portfolio. New projects in list mode are added regularly to the various folders. The problem is that we have to update the porfolio manually each time to get the latest updates. When updating the portfolio, can you add the lists contained in the selection (Folder)?

Add the ability to resize and reorder columns in portfolio card.

Within the folder you can add an owner, and start and end dates. But these don't pull through to the portfolio in dashboards. It says "End Date cannot be set on folders" which isn't correct, as you can add start and end dates in the folder settings. The portfolio does allow you to show the dates, and owners for lists. I want to be able to see the dates, and owners of a folder in the portfolio card in the dashboard.

Like most users, we use Folders to house projects. I created several Dashboards with the hope of monitoring projects at the Space level using the Portfolio card. Example: "Portfolio Dashboard for Space My Projects" I then select Space at the Top Level as shown in Image 1, let's suppose that includes these projects: Project 1 (folder) Project 2 (folder) Project 3 (folder) Now tomorrow I add another project to the space, let's call it Project 4. Well that instantly renders the portfolio useless as the new project does not show up in the Space portfolio, and this can be seen reflected in Image 2 where it's shown that CU automatically deselected the Space selection at the top level. If I had only selected specific folders within the space for the portfolio, not having a new folder show up would make sense. But since I selected the Space at the top level, IMO this is bizarre behavior and I am hoping it's a bug. This is the equivalent of selecting a list for a Task Card and every time a new task is added, it does not show up on the dashboard! Or like setting a folder in Dropbox to sync, and every time you add a subfolder it does not sync! Please advice, thanks!

ClickUp does not yet offer any real high-level portfolio management to manage lists and projects. The existing “Portfolio Widget” available in Dashboard is managed and offers virtually no functionality. Lists should support custom fields and high-level management of projects should be possible, as Monday.com offers.
