A Note from our CEO

Hey Everyone!
It's been an exciting couple of weeks on our end with our new engineering leadership team ramping up and making some big changes to our engineering team's structure. We've set aggressive hiring goals for the remainder of the year and expect to share some big hiring updates pretty soon.
Here's a progress update from the last 2 weeks:
Bugs Focus:
  • Our refactoring of Notifications, Dashboards, Search, and using new systems in Gantt view will allow us to resolve hundreds of bugs at the same time
  • Our QA team has made great progress in increasing our automated test coverage, reducing the number of bugs or regressions added to the platform moving forward
  • We've resolved a mountain of bugs in the last 2 weeks and will not stop!
DevOps/Infrastructure:
  • We've brought in-region Automation support to all of our server regions now, having added South America, India/Africa, Asia, and Oceana since my last update
  • Our DevOps team is continuing to make backend performance and security improvements, increasing our reliability and stability—while not visible to you it means less outages and better performance
  • We're on a 6-week streak of no outages or server issues!
Page Refresh/Data Sync Improvements:
  • We've solved multiple instances of refresh/sync issues and you'll notice a sizable difference very soon (eta. 2 to 3 weeks)
  • Transparently, there is still a lot of work to be done in this area and we'll continue to dedicate resources and remain focused on these improvements!
Search Refactoring Improvements:
  • We're expanding our new search pipeline to work for all data sources this week internally
  • We don't have an estimated release date at this time because we want to test thoroughly before releasing—we're dedicated to making the best search function for ClickUp!
Progress on Notifications/Dashboards:
  • The refactor of Notifications has been a complex issue and it remains one of our key focus areas this month—we've made progress but it is not where we want it to be
  • While Dashboard improvements are still very much on our radar, we won't have significant updates there for the next few weeks as we focus on some other key areas of the platform
Engineering Leadership:
  • Our head of Engineering, Shailesh, and the rest of our engineering leadership team are working closely with our executives and Product teams to re-envision how we structure our work, the key metrics to track progress, and goals to hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards
  • We're aligned and committed to best in class stability and reliability while also retaining a rapid pace of development and improvement in the product
I know I've said this before, but I think it's important to say it again:
Our goal is one platform, with extremely high reliability and performance, to make the whole world more productive.
With all of your feedback and support, and the plans we have for expanding our engineering team, I'm confident we'll get there! We'll continue to share our progress updates and hope you'll continue to give us feedback on where we can improve.
Thank you so much for hanging in there with us!
💜 Zeb
